Un tour d’horizon de la Littérature Comparée (A Survey of Comparative Literature)
Abstract
The world, it is said, is a global village. Human beings are created by God into different places with different languages, cultures and traditions. They are bound to coexist, trade and exchange goods among themselves. It would have been difficult for them to understand one another’s values and appreciate themselves if their literature was not translated into other languages. Our preoccupation in this article is to see the importance of translated literature works and the achievements made by writers of comparative literature all over the world especially between people of different continents.
